Personal Wellness Plan

I was beginning to out-process in the summer of 2020…with my retirement over 2 years away…yes, TWO YEARS AWAY and I’d never considered a personal wellness plan.
And I was late to the game. I never had a personal wellness plan. I thought crushing the physical fitness exam annually (I got a waiver for truly crushing it) was good enough.
It wasn’t.
I stumbled upon a handful of great resources available from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, and asked myself, “Why in the world am I just now getting something like this at the end of my career?“
Well, I decided our Health & Wellness is just as, if not more, important early in service to the Nation as it is afterwards.
So here’s the tool(s) I wished I’d been using from the earliest days in service.
Use these tools at every Physical Fitness assessment.
Use it quarterly to truly plan, and become ready.
Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.
It goes for your Health & Wellness throughout military service time, and especially toward the end of it. Own it like you Own Your Oath (Enlisted & Officer)
